Tigh Ruaraidh sleeps up to a maximum of six people and is as cosy and comfortable for couples looking for peace and seclusion, as it is adaptable for small groups of friends or families to share without feeling crowded. All principal rooms have stunning sea views across the Inner Sound to the islands of Raasay, Rona, Skye and the Outer Hebrides.
The house has full central heating and is furnished to an extremely high standard.
The exceptionally well equipped kitchen has Shaker style units and granite worktops, induction hob, built-in Neff 'Slide'n Hide' single oven, microwave and warming drawer, American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher, food processor, electric hand mixer - all that you would expect and more, thanks to the enthusiasm of the owner/amateur cook!
At the other end of the room is a dining and sitting area with large solid oak table Freeview satellite television, sofa and armchair.
The sitting room has a high cathedral-style ceiling giving a sense of space and light. It is comfortably furnished with two sofas and armchairs. In the unlikely event that you tire of looking at the mesmerising and ever changing view there is Sky+ television with sports package. A large patio window opens directly out onto the terrace and garden. A small library of books to cater for all tastes includes reference and historical books of the area, wildlife and bird guides and some children's books and novels.
Ground floor bedroom: 6’ super king-size bed which can be split into two full size single beds. An adjacent bathroom (refurbished 2018) with bath, walk-in shower, washbasin, w.c. and electric underfloor heating. Together both rooms make for an almost self-contained wing - ideal for Granny!
Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom with washbasin and w.c. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is ample space for hanging coats and storing muddy boots in the entrance lobby.
Upstairs there are three further bedrooms. The main bedroom (5' king-size bed), a twin-bedded room (2x 3' single beds) and a single bedroom. All bedrooms have storage and hanging space and are fully carpeted. All beds have electric blankets. There is a shower room with washbasin and w.c., plus heated towel rail.
A cot, high chair and stair gate are available if needed.
The delightful garden is fully enclosed and is planted with a variety of shrubs and seasonal bulbs.
