Tigh Ruaraidh sleeps up to a maximum of six people and is as cosy and comfortable for couples looking for peace and seclusion, as it is adaptable for small groups of friends or families to share without feeling crowded. All principal rooms have stunning sea views across the Inner Sound to the islands of Raasay, Rona, Skye and the Outer Hebrides.
The house has full central heating and is furnished to an extremely high standard.
The kitchen, fully refurbished in December 2016, has Shaker style units and granite worktops with an induction hob, built-in Neff 'Slide'n Hide' single oven, microwave and warming drawer. American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher, food processor, electric hand mixer. It is exceptionally well equipped with all that you would expect and more, thanks to the enthusiasm of the owner/amateur cook!
At the other end of the room is a dining area with large solid oak table and a sitting area with Freeview satellite television, sofa and armchair.
The sitting room has a high cathedral-style ceiling giving a sense of space and light. It is comfortably furnished with two sofas and armchairs. In the unlikely event that you tire of looking at the mesmerising and ever changing view there is Sky+ television with sports package. A large patio window opens directly out onto the terrace and garden. A small library of books to cater for all tastes includes reference and historical books of the area, wildlife and bird guides and some children's books and novels.
A ground floor bedroom with 6’ super king-size bed (which can be split into two full size single beds) An adjacent bathroom with bath, separate shower, washbasin and wc makes for an almost self-contained wing.
Also on the ground floor is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer plus a cloakroom with washbasin and wc. There is ample space for hanging coats and storing muddy boots in the entrance lobby.
Upstairs there are three further bedrooms. The main bedroom has a 5' king-size bed. There is a twin-bedded room and a single bedroom. All bedrooms have storage and hanging space and are fully carpeted. All beds have electric blankets. There is a shower room with washbasin and wc, plus heated towel rail.
A cot, high chair and stair gate are available if needed.
The delightful garden is fully enclosed and is planted with a variety of shrubs and seasonal bulbs.
